Funny... things haven't changed much since the Titanic... Looks like everyone in first class has a spot in the life raft. Whereas most of coach has to stand on the wing...

Its a landing...not a crash. Hence "incase of a water landing..." Good job by the pilot, and of all places it could have happened NY was most prepared to handle it..so thats lucky.

@ThomasinnorwayWrong! That is a crash. Landings don't tear the engines off and ruin the plane. You also don't need to be rescued from a landing.

@ThomasinnorwayHey Genius, the engines didn't tear off, they just got ruined by the geese that got sucked into them. And yes, it's a "ditch landing". Why don't you read the news before jumping to your own assumptions and making a fool out of yourself.
@ThomasinnorwayIt's a crash landing. HA! I win.

@ThomasinnorwayI hate to say it, but it's a crash landing. Look it up in the dictionary, "an emergency landing under circumstances where a normal landing is impossible (usually damaging the aircraft)"

@Thomasinnorwayactually both engines were ripped off in the crash. One was recovered today and the other is on the bottom of the hudson.. source: NY Post =)
