Like many people today, Mel’s diet and exercise routine was almost non-existant.
Reflecting on her body prior to changing her fitness regimen, Mel says that she ‘couldn’t fit into any clothing I wanted…’ because of her boobs.
‘…[they] probably took up 90% of my entire body weight and made running, jumping, literally any movement uncomfortable.’
Rather than jump right into the operating room, Mel was put on a waiting list.
‘Fast forward to the present and I have completely avoided reduction surgery,’ she said.
She does note, however, that ‘results don't happen overnight. This is seven years work in the making.’
Thinking back on how she got to where she is today, Mel reflected that ‘avoiding surgery was the best thing that ever unintentionally happened to me…
‘…because it taught me health and nutrition and helped my rheumatoid arthritis go into remission.’
‘If you are considering surgery, please please try exercise and diet, first.’
