Kwan Im (Hanzi: ??; Pinyin: Guan Yin) is the incarnation of Buddhas compassion in East Asia. Kwan Im alone is Hokkien dialect used by most of the Chinese community in Indonesia. The full name of Kwan Im is Kwan Im He Phosat (Hanzi: ??? ??, Pinyin: Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa) which is a translation from the original name in Sanskrit, Avalokitesvara. Avalokitesvara himself originally described the form of a man in India but later evolved into a woman among the Buddhists in East Asia. In Japanese, the Kwan Im called Kannon (? ?) or officially Kanzeon (? ? ?). In the Korean language is called Gwan-Eum or Gwanse-Eum, and in Vietnam or Quan Am Bo Tat Quan Am.
