What is Graves Disease on Newsfeed - Hip-Hop superstar Missy Elliot recently announced that she was suffering from Graves Disease. Don’t worry! Even though the name Graves doesn’t sound very optimistic, she’s not going to die from it. Graves disease is a disease that causes the thyroid gland to overproduce hormones that control body metabolism. Missy released a statement saying that she is fine and as long as she takes care of her health, she will be getting back to her music. In hindsight, several of her songs seem like symptoms of diseases, like “hot boyz” , and “minute man”. My friends called me minute-man in high school, because I got all my homework done super fast!
