Superman recently renounced his U.S. Citizenship in Action Comics #900. That’s right nerds! He reasoned he no longer wanted to be seen as an instrument of American aggression and also due to the increased connectedness of the world. This issue has starkly divided comic book fans and nobody else really. Superman’s self-rejected citizenship will be biggest thing to happen to comics since it was discovered that the inspiration behind the human torch was Stan Lee’s fight with chlamydia. I hope he wins!
