On Friday, a Southwest Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing after a cracked piece of the fuselage opened up in the ceiling of the plane depressurizing the cabin. Some speculate that this could have been a much bigger disaster had Samuel L. Jackson not been on board to keep everyone calm, intensely referring to the gaping hole as a snake exit hatch. Other airlines with similar 737-300s have decided to charge more money for passengers to sit in the rows with potential cracks above them calling them luxury convertible seat rows…and also vertical exits.
