But where did that rabbit tradition come from? Well, Pagans worshiped Astra the Goddess of fertility whose symbol happened to be the rabbit. That’s right, just a bunch of witches worshiping bunnies. Then in the 18th century the Pennsylvania Dutch brought over the crazy tradition to Americas.
