Day of the Dead or Dias de los Muertos is a 4 day holiday celebrated in early November, that is all about family and friends gathering together and praying for the loved ones who are now deceased. This tradition dates as far back as 3000 years when indigenous people would revisit burial sites. It is a major holiday in Mexico where people build altars using sugar skulls and marigolds. They also present the favorite food and drink of the person they are honoring. My altar would be made of steak and whiskey.
