Craigslist Scams on Newsfeed - So you’re looking for some deals on stuff but don’t want to get murdered while purchasing a used lampshade. That’s fair. Here are 3 tips to use craigslist safely so you can stop using lawn chairs and a ping pong table as a dining set. One: Never give out any financial information! Telling the police you lost all of your life-savings for a $3 puka shell necklace will only elicit laughter. Two: Always meet in public and in person with a friend. This way you’ll see the product and can have a second opinion there to keep you from making terrible decisions, like buying a life sized statue of Gollum from the lord of the rings because you think it will impress girls. Everybody makes mistakes. Three: If it’s too good to be true, it is. Nobody sells a brand new lcd tv for 12 dollars. And if they are, buy the tv quickly because they’re probably on drugs. So there you go, be safe and good luck on turning your life around one gently-used item at a time!
