nothing cracked: the guy had an emotional break through in the loss of his goldfish from 2 years ago, which he was keeping bottled up by focusing on martial arts. The smell of his opponents crotch, who had just gotten laid, reminded him of his poor fish, thus bringing forth the hidden pain and causing him to have that long over due, but badly needed, cry.
