I usually do not get involved with stuff like this but I feel like as a past student of that school and member of the SMDP band I should state some facts for the people who have the decency to listen. I am now a second year University Music Major attending UofA and being in that band had a huge impact on my music career. The school used to go from grade 7-12, but 2 years ago they changed it to go from grade 8 to 12 instead. Students start band in Grade 7, and because of this confusing change, half of the gr
@jeabs11grade 7 students went to this school, and the other half stayed at the new middle school. The band program suffered greatly because of this. This is a Jr. high band, they are just learning, and the balance of the band is nowhere near perfect. I won't keep going on, but in closing I would like to say that this is not a representation of the potential and quality of the members of the Sr. High band, and finally that the conductor who conducts the bands at this school is PHENOMENAL and is a very very respectab
