    maybe if military planes were featherweight toothpicks as well, aircraft carrier landings would be a piece of cake.

    so: thats basically takeing off and landing using the width of the runway and not the length

      @REDSOXFN24 less! I landed a 172 Cessna crossways in a headwind. This guy would only need a few feet in a little headwind!

    juice1457 - 3 years ago

    Strong headwind: and lots of lift in the wings.

      @leitermannim sorry,: you must have gotten confused somewhere along the way, you hold the record for lowest recorded IQ. this guy is using a plane...then again with your IQ you wouldnt know that would you?

      @leitermannYeah!: I got an IQ of 100 feet?

      @leitermannNo you got an IQ of 12. But then again your IQ wouldn't know that.

    Still Good Stuff: Weather they're using Tundra or Regulat Tires I think it still takes skill to do that. It looks great regardles.

    ZEUZ: Those are called Tundra Tires, they are for landing in unimproved areas with no runway. Your "sorta" right. :).

    I know the pilot who did this...: He later got a job working for a drugs barron, you often see his plane in New York city landing and taking off the roof of Macdonalds without anyone noticing, except those who notice of course??????????????????

    CletusKassidy - 3 years ago

    Yeah...: the perfect head wind would definitely help create such lift for an airplane like that. Of course, I'm not an expert on aerodynamics or anything.

    Very Strange!: There must be hidden cables or something, because planes can't fly that slow or they fall out of the sky.

    • USAFlyboys

      USAFlyboys - 3 years ago

      @digler_2Uh yeah...they can: It's called a head wind

    • Roxx87

      Roxx87 - 3 years ago

      @Captain_America_wow tards...: it was two different planes, it never said that he would use the same plane for both parts tards... and the guy holds the record for the shortest takeoff and landing in a propeller driven aircraft morons

    Fake!!!: 1st. With enough head wind you could just stand there with a surf board and take off, 2nd. Anyone notice the main gear grew sometime in mid flight. And since the Harrier Doesn't need a runway to take off/land, it wouldn't make since that it would have the worlds shortest take off.

    • Jakearoo14

      @HotEMTwell it certainly isnt fake: but your points are valid, obvious, but valid

    • ZooChase

      @HotEMTYour Stupid: It's 2 different planes.............DUH!

    • Goose76

      Goose76 - 3 years ago

      @HotEMTidiot: a Haarier uses NO runway, so it is null and void, it's like saying a helicopter uses a runway, for a plane that actually DOES use a runway, this guy holds the record. but, yes, the amount of head wind is critical.
