As a wedding photographer, I'm kinda surprised he didn't take note of the fountain beforehand. Then again though, when you're focused on the job it'd be easy to have this happen to. Anyway, CF cards should be fine. Cameras and lenses might have some water damage though. Looks like he had a $1.6k f2.8 on him too. Ouch.

As a complete aside - the images would have been fine. You can stick CF cards through the wash without a hitch. The cameras, if they were switched off and left to dry for a considerable amount of time may also have made it. Not fancying the chances of that Quantum pack, though. I'm surprised he didn't get electrocuted with that much power submerged.

Poor bastard actually got lucky he didn't crack his skull off that marble. While I wouldn't wish this upon anyone but as a wedding videographer I can't stand selfish photogs getting in the way of our shots constantly. Most are cool though if spoken to beforehand. But hopefully this is a reminder to the ones that aren't, sh*t happens!
