In America, if you want to fly both American and your native countries flag, you need to either Fly them side by side as equals or fly the American flag higher. As any country, It's to do with Honor and Respect for the soil you stand on. That man was just Angry, he took it as an insult.. as he should.. because it is. But I know the person who put it up there did not know this. He was simply putting it up to show his pride to where he came from

This veteran is damaged in his mind, if his annoyance was that the flags were misplaced, simply comment it, suggests to the owner, I mean, what kind of paranoid in his right mind carries a knife and cut the rope of the mast, and leaves clear that their actions are due to fight in vietnam war and became a war junkie. and remeber respect is everything

Also, the Marines are Jarheads and it's a privilege to be called one if you earn the title. Army is a different branch of the military.
