Cop Dash Cam Captures Train Explosion

This is amazing video of a huge tanker explosion caught on cop dash cam. In 2005, a Union Pacific train car derailed and hit a tanker carrying gas. The fire comes rushing towards the cop car and you can see the police try to back up as quickly as they can.

A cop dash cam records a propylene tanker explosion in the aftermath of the 2005 derailment and chemical leak of a Union Pacific train in Texarkana. The explosion caught on police car video involved seven empty train cars and a tanker containing flammable gas that rear ended another train. The explosion from the derailment killed one person and many had to evacuate nearby homes. The cop dash cam captures on video the huge explosion and resulting smoke. Watch as the police car has to back up quickly to escape the fire.

    I was in bed at Station Two and had to go help clean this up! We had one DOA at the house where the propylene found it's ignition source. The chemical fumes were heavier than air and ran down the creek and accross a parking lot. Several vehicles that ran into the fumes died from lack of oxygen, but luckily the people ran out of the fumes before the explosion. More pictures are at " Iaff Local 502" website. Otho

      @Giovanni17apparently you have never driven very fast in reverse, try it, most cars sound like they have a turbo, it's just how the gears are cut.

     I like how he doesn't turn his siren on until AFTER he flies backwards on a dark street for about half a mile. And I think this derailment involved PROPANE tankers. Not propylene. (Unless they were tankers that looked like milk jugs, maybe.)

      @screwbreakdotcomhe had his lights on, and he was running for his life, im sure in the midst of "sh*t hitting the fan" you can excuse sum1 for not hitting the sirens. Also, it WAS liquid Propylene, propane behaves much different in an "explosion".
