They could have skipped the first 5 seconds of the beginning. I just wasted 37 seconds of my worthless life. Did I miss any?? OH OH, Fake and I can't believe Break gave them 5 million dollars for this video. One more and I'm done, I can't believe it made the front page. I feel better :-)

ok first off why did the conductor stop the train like he was going to walk all the way back and make sure the dude was ok? and second that train stopped right in front of that truck at the end. i get pissed when i get stuck at a railroad crossing let alone have the damn train stop in front of me

  @VPChuckIf you listen to the audio you here him flip the emergency break and then the impact... A few seconds later you hear a warning alarm, something was definately wrong with the train... At that point he has to stop...

Vancouver's WestCoastExpress commuter train between Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. I was on it. No one was injured. The excavator (or whatever it is) was trashed, obviously.

Now I have done a bit of frorenzic investagaton and if you listen to the audio track on that clip again you will note the sound of the indicator which the tran driver obviously left on. the stereo bias was to the left side so the extravator obviously thought he would be turning left and out of the path of the nearby tracks altogether. Judge Judy wood confict the tran driver defribultorly

  @ubendUmm, that's a bell. It's purpose is to inform people on or off the track that the train is in motion when the horn isn't blowing. And since there were a lot of crossings in that area, I would have left it running too. =D

  @KnightlightCould have been a passenger train, those stop pretty fast too. But if it didn't have any cars on it, the engineer would not have thrown it into emergency...hence the air blowing sound when the vehicle was seen.
