  LMAO my dumb ass cousin was pissing me off so i told him to try tht and well... it ended up raining out side and i was inside..i didnt feel like getting ass wet and bloddy so i waited a few minutes(bout 2 hours)...he tried to kill me

    @beefcake54reply: You clearly can't think your way out of a paper bag. Pulling yourself up would be equal to pulling your entire body weight up with your hands. That's why the pole has to be 5" or wider. Can YOU climb a 5" wide pole with ONLY your hands (no legs/feet) ?? That's what I thought.

    @beefcake54The point is that there is nothing much to grip. The diameter of the pole is carefully chosen to prevent it. A pull-up is not a comparison here. In a pull-up you'd have a horisontal bar to wrap your fingers around, i.e. grip. Here you'd have to exert the same force through friction alone, by pressing your hands into the pole.
