  He's a freakin' idiot. Cant believe that even after the instructors saved his LIFE, he still tells the tv crew that he pulled his main chute. You clearly see that the instructor tries to guide him to the deploy handle after the IDIOT tries to grab the cut away handle stubbornly and actually yanks it too. The instructor sees the mistake and very fast removes the whole main chute, holding on to the IDIOT in order to pull the reserve for him as well but the IDIOT is such a stiff plank in the air that he manage

  Lets clear this up.....: The man in this video is an idiot, he pulls his cutaway handle...this is the reason his main parachute "tears away" his instructor did what he was supposed to and attempted to deploy his main after trying to stop him from cutting away. After he does this his instructor then is risking his own life to try to deploy the idiots reserve parachute....as for the power lines, we have already determined that this guy is an idiot right????

    @skydivergirlquite the idiot.: Yah it is pretty clear that the instructor saves this guys ass. You can see the instructor grab his arm and move it toward the deploy cord. The "idiot" grabs the cutaway handle instead and you see the instructor even attempt to stop him. After he pulls the cutaway cord the only thing the instructor could do is deploy the parachute and get it out of the way so that the reserve shoot could be deployed. The guy is definitely lucky considdering the his lack of inteligence.

    @skydivergirlIf you had a clue of who's responsibility here you would know that it's the instructor at fault, and the student simply followed the ground instructors bad directions, if the dz didn't pay this guy a lot of money, they are lucky, clear case of negligence on their part.

  Verfied: He is a dumbass: He pulls the handle to cutaway his main parachute, instead of the ripcord for his main parachute, it was his fault. That was only one of several dumbass things he did. Starting with steering his parachute into power lines instead of away from them - dumbass

  This guy is a complete retard!!!!: ?This video pisses me off every time i watch it. If you are familiar with the skydiving equipment, he caused all of the bad things that happened to him. The chute breaking away was his fault, because he pull the "CUT AWAY" handle instead of the ripcord/hackey handle!!!!!!! He is flying a sofisticated RAM-AIR canopy, so he could have just steered clear of the power lines, but he was to stupid to do that as well. Then he acts like it wasnt his fault, and thats why skydiving

  The handle: he pulled was his main cutaway handle, the instructor pulled the main to bad the dumbass student already pulled his main cutaway which is why the chute went away. You can control the chute, powerlines are small, fields are big, this dumbasss hits the lines. As an instructor if this guy wanted to jump again i would say hell no, some people are just meant to golf. By the way This is one of the worst students i have ever seen and I've taught everyone from special forces to 70 year old granpa's. So
