They left out the very beginning. The moon was originally created after a massive collision with Earth resulted in a large hunk of matter breaking off and then floating around Earth. At time a time the moon was merely meters from Earth.

@videoboy207 It might not be quite as speculative as you think. NASA's been doing a lot research on the moon lately with LROC and GRAIL. The GRAIL mission just recently mapped the moons gravity field which has probably given NASA insight into the location and magnitudes of the impacts shown in the video.

@videoboy207 Science is nothing but theory. Once it has been proven, it is no longer science but fact. Though it is taught in school now that science is fact. No longer is science seen as a means to prove or disprove theories. It is seen as the end all be all of the world.

sumerian texts say that one of planet nibiru's moons struck earth, making earth what it is today. the moon of nibiru stayed with us. the moon is also getting farther away from earth, roughly one inch per year. 4.5 billion years ago it would have been much closer to earth. this is way off...NASA just wants to hide the truth.
