That's a tarantula hawk. It just paralyzed the spider, and it is now going to lay its eggs inside the spider, while the spider is alive, and bury it in the ground. The eggs will hatch and then eat the spider, while alive. Net net, this was a very bad day for the tarantula.

And then the wasp laid it's eggs in the tarantula. The eggs hatched, and the parasitic larva ate the organs of the still living tarantula until it finally died and released the little terrors upon the earth. Hate these wasps.
