If a coalition soldier or united nations peace keeper dies in afghanistan or iraq 9/10 it was a IED, suicide bomber or sniper (and if an iraqi sniper killed an american soldier they would probably find him). I think its pretty rare to see engagements between organized insurgent teams and Western armies in iraq or afghanistan.

Yes, America has a great deal of military technology and yes their troops are fairly well trained. But don't be naive about American supermacy on the battlefield.
