I live in Katy but work in Houston. I saw one of the first fires in Katy and it was scary to see how fast they spread. For the firefighters and those who have been affected my prayers go out to you.

it's nice that some of y'all think these fires are funny. they took the life of a 20 year old mother and her 18 month old baby Monday night not 5 miles from me. they have burned over 800 homes and 40,000 acres of land. last report there was more than 20 fires burning.

for all you worthless heartless assholes I live here in east Texas and I am a firefighter here and the past week I have been in a different fire every night and starting all over again. myself and many others have not slept but 2 to 4 hours a day if we are lucky! so quit your bitching unless you are willing to fight the fire and try to save someone you don't know!

@Ncfirefighter235 my mom is in upshot county and is very grateful, took 4 cases of water and food to the local station, so far her house is safe but her neighbor 1/4 mile away lost most of his out buildings
