   That is the worst feeling. When you lose your ski in middle of a jump theres really nothing you can do. He didn't get his tips up and the air pulled his ski off. The snow they ski on is basically pure ice so they can get more speed...he smacked at about 45 mph.

  see the: whiplash effect, in any wipeout at high speed, it's natural to try to absorb to impact with one's body, but that almost always just slingshots the head into the ground. wtf is that on his head anyways? it looks like a spandex shower cap whose only purpose is to increase aerodynamics! well that's what you get....
