  it is a variation on a form of asian skit. usualy the person dressed in black is assumed not to exist by the audience... if you look closely there is a line attached to the shadows of the ball in a couple of the shots it looked to be 3-4 "balls" used to complete the routine.

  ...: to get the shadow under the ball, there is a gap under the wall, and the black perosn would throw their ball into the black basketbball hoop so it 'disappears' and then a person uses a black ball on a stick to move it under the ball

Oh and good job citing the League of Nations, an organization that was killed off cause of its ability to draw up "laws" that no one payed any attention to since they DIDNT HAVE ANY WAY OF ENFORCING THEM!!!   some other reading for you.: I said it was in violation of the rules of warfare. here's a few examples. Draft Rules of Aerial Warfare, The Hague, February 1923 Article XXIV section 3 and article XXV. Protection of Civilian Populations Against Bombing From the Air in Case of War, League of Nations, September 30, 1938 Sections I and II. and several version of the Geneva Conventions. So please read on the subject before replying.

  some reading for you.: before there are a ton of uneducated slams against my statements. Please read the following. approximately 200,000 to 250,000 people (mostly civilians) died with those two bombs. Gen. MacArthur himself saw no military justification for the dropping of the bomb. The war might have ended weeks earlier if the US had agreed to the retention of the institution of the emperor. (which it did anyways)
