    @P1N3appleProbably because it takes months for newborns to gain pigment in their eyes to determine their true eye color. If you had a kid with especially abnormal eye color, such as an asian kid with pale blue eyes, I would hope you'd take them to the doctor too.

  Everyone knows that newborn babies all have blue eyes and then the pupils will later change its color after half a year or so. His eyes obviously never changed its color and which is also why his eyes hurts in the sunlight.
