During a stunt show this weekend Matt Hall came very close to an epic fail when his plane hit the detroit river but quickly bounced off allowing him to recover his low turn.

I was standing on the upper level of the High Flyer's Lounge about 8 feet from Matt's wife when this happened. It was horrifying then rejoicing in a matter of a second or two. Great pilot - cheers!
