  I fact, it is sad.: Saddest thing for me is - that he was killed be his own men. Or even murdered by his own country. All of these women and men died NOT defending their country, they were sent to death for profit. That's what I believe.

  It's sad: that many of you don't respect the men and women who have died for something greater than themselves. You may disagree with the war, and that's fine, but to disrespect Tillman and the many others who gave their lives is a disgrace to yourself and your respective country. That you denounce these men and women as "dumb" just shows your own cowardice.

  AMERICAN HERO: This man was truly amazing. He does deserve a bit more than the average soldier because not every soldier left their $500,000 annual salary in the NFL to go and RISK THEIR LIFE in Iraq. This man was already a success, he had EVERYTHING TO LOSE, yet he STILL WENT OVER THERE TO FIGHT FOR WHAT HE BELEIVED IN.   OF COURSE!!: Pat Tillman gets all this coverage. He was an NFL football player. Thousands of troops have died in this war but Pat fucking Tillman is a hero... nobody else. Not the little guy that died pulling his wounded fellow Marine from an ambush... no... pat tillman! Those soldiers in his unit probably did kill him. Can you imagine trying to compete with an ex NFL player... thats a lose lose situation. I don't blame em'.

    @devildog04ease up: The fact that he gave up a life of professional sports and a lot of money to serve his country makes him a hero. Everyone who wears that uniform is a hero, but the fact that he is a football player just makes him good bait for the media to key on. W ould you give up a million per year to go to Afghanistan? I can't say that I would.

  This Sucks.: A report described in the Washington Post on May 4, 2005 (prepared upon the request of Tillman's family) by Brig. Gen. Gary M. Jones revealed that in the days immediately following Tillman's death, U.S. Army investigators were aware that Tillman was killed by friendly fire, shot THREE TIMES to the HEAD.[1] Jones reported that senior Army commanders, including Gen. John Abizaid, knew of this fact within days of the shooting but nevertheless approved the awarding of the Silver Star, Purple Heart

    @TheSicOne.: posthumous promotion. The citation report accompanying these awards said that Tillman was killed by enemy forces and contained a detailed account of the alleged battle which Army leadership knew had never taken place.

  No, no, no, this is not a hero...: I'm not going to elaborate the subject as most of you people probably know what I mean, though don't want to see it. Here's the funnybusiness, the song in this video (Rage Against the Machine - Renegades of Funk) is made by the same band who burned an american flag on-stage, hates the war in Iraq and dislikes your government, to say the very least.
