and no: the parasites inside you arent able to "mind control" you, the reason it could the cricket is because it was so small and its brain was relative to its size, i.e. tiny brain

2 out of every 3: people have parasites inside their stomach, about a 5th of that have worms in their heart, usually though the parasites are harmless t the body, however there are some that can mess with the health of the host, the most common is a "tape worm" which takes over half of the nutrition your body ingests, which is why you eat so much, but there are alot of other types, just google "stomach parasites" im sure that will give you alot more information than i could
