It happens in the spring. In the Winter it gets so damned cold the harbour does freeze solid, but when it warms up, it turns into slush and comes up when the tide turns, usually when there's a sudden warm wave after a serious cold snap. Looks awesome in the Bay of Fundy when the tide turns...

@2_Late_I_Won Well, it's not really a matter of global 'warming' as popular science says, it's a matter of global climate change. It's nearly similar to entropy in the universe, but with global climate. Also, global climate change is cyclic and thus by nature, an inevitable change. Burning fossil fuels has just sped up the speed in change (though this isn't something to not pay attention to). So in the next 100 years, expect changing climates as well as wind patterns and ocean currents. Century-wise forecast ftw.
