even if the moon landings were a hoax (and they weren't) you cannot deny that the broadcast of a human being on the moon did more to unify our species than any singular event in our miserable history. On that day, every human was proud simultaneously, and that achievement exceeds the landing of our species on any terrestrial body. Neil Armstrong was a great scientist, a brave pilot, and an extraordinary individual, and the legacy of his achievements will ring through the halls of history.
