Although the dog (Barney) will make a full recovery, the story ends sadly. His owner, 53-year-old Donna Chen, was hit and killed earlier that day by a 22-year-old drunk driver which was why he was loose.

The dog is a vizsla, one of few dogs that have webbed feet(great swimmers) imho the most loyal dog you can find. Good job on the kayak save.
