MPAA: are a bunch of pricks trying to make a buck. The rating system, although necessary is flawed and their anti-piracy measures are ridiculous.

This guy is an idiot: it is mandated that one copy be kept by the MPAA for legal reasons to ensure that the rating is proven. No authorization is needed. In short, this is a FAKE video designed to smear the LEGAL activities of the MPAA.

Not that it prooves anything but...: His entire office is completely unchanged and untouched from his first clip to his second... all he did was change his outfit... I don't like being the guy but this would be too easy to fake

@goosesoupI'm confused: why would you expect somebody to redecorate their office over a 3-4 day period?

...: not like they're going to distribute it!? so why does it matter? even if they have a copy.

@Funkapotamus420uhh: last time i checked it was because they are going after people who copy films, yet they do it themselves.

    • tendonut

      tendonut - 2 years ago

@Funkapotamus420Well..: That doesn't seem to stop the MPAA from going after regular people who copy movies.

You don't need an MPAA rating...: ...to get a movie out, which one would know if one has seen This Film is not yet Rated. Your movie just won't get a big distribution. I would really recommend that peolpe see the movie; it really is very good.

The MPAA's standards are too Puritanical.: On top of that, they seem to be virtually untouchable legally. I think the MPAA and the FCC are probably two of the worst things to happen to American media. Speech isn't so much free here, anymore, as pro-rated according to content.

Cool: ?So now i know that since the MPAA doesn't follow it's own rules, then I don't have to either. GG, now I can guilt free download the new Transformers movie.

No shit, Sherlock....: ?You have an organization that you lampoon in your movie and say that they are acting unlawfully. Amazingly, after you give this movie to them and let them watch it, they make a copy. If you give me a copy of a movie that shows me running a red light, you better believe I'm gonna keep a copy of that. Yet this guy acts like he's hit the f'in lottery cause this board made a copy of his film.

LOL: At the end it says "People who make illegal copies of movies are thieves, plain and simple." lol...Yes, but they are thieves who don't have to pay $10.00 - $13.00 to watch a single movie at a movie theater. And that...is WELL WORTH IT.

    • M_g_M

      M_g_M - 2 years ago

@sabiathat wasnt his comment: that was off MPAA website, he was making a point that even the enforcers copy movies w/o permission.

    • M_g_M

      M_g_M - 2 years ago

@sabiamore.: It's an old question, but far from obsolete -- who will protect us from the people we hire to protect us? In one critical setting, those who are supposed to answer that question seem more concerned with silencing the questioners.

    • M_g_M

      M_g_M - 2 years ago

@sabiaand a lil more.: Some 2000 years ago, the writer Juvenal asked "Who will guard the guards?" (this just goes to show that its been happening since the dawn of civilization that the people in power are and always will be above the law.)

@Linkdead14If you have watched the documentary: A lot of the people at the MPAA refused to talk when they were on speaker phone.
