Would the airBag be there with the van going 55-65 MPH, it would be off set or half a bag... the front wheel would be to the middle of the intercetion ?? yes? no? Would be better with the thing I seen the other day. It was a AIRSUIT. Looked better then this... I don't know where I seen it.

YEa: I'm sure my $1300 bike doesn't have an airbag. Although I am going to buy the airbag jacket that thing is beast. The bike's airbag only works if you hit something, not if you slide. The jacket does both.

It's great if it can be made effective.: In a car, if you aren't wearing your seatbelts, you'll impact the dash a few millisecond before the bag depolys in you face. (OUCH OUCH).

@Criswell d'oh!: Those aren't strings - they're data wires which provide the readings from all the accelerometers mounted inside the dummy to measure the forces on the body

@mrshib1 Why they wear leather...: That's because bikers are supposed to wear leather or denim. If, Hades forbid, they crash or take some kind of a tumble, the leather is less likely to rip and so they'll avoid getting the flesh flayed from their bones.

nice goldwing: gowldwings are the only motorcycles produced and manufactured in the US. (harley is produced in Mexico) those bikes are more electronicly advanced then most cars. ABS, airbags, stereos, heaters, seat warmers, mirror defrosters. and yea, it does matter what bike your on when you hit a car at 50mph without braking. would you rather slam into the steal cage of a car, or the air bag? and no, it is not the suden stop that gets you, it is what you hit. i have crashed a few sport bikes in my

Ya know....: It's generaly not the impact with the car or bike that kill you...although you will be pretty fucked up from that...its' the sudden inpact of pavement or blacktop, and your body continuing on at just a few mph slower than you were just going, that does you in.
