This pilot crashed an F16 as he taxied down the runway at an Oshkosh airshow. Jet are so much harder to drive once you take the training wheels off.

He wasn't taxiing, he was landing. There are a lot of people and aircraft around, so this dude did the best he could to guide it into the soft dirt. He didn't eject because he didn't anybody to get hit by a flying canopy or ejection seat after separation. There's a lot of people there who have no idea how close they came to getting killed.

So uh... does nobody have eyes? He just landed A. B, he couldn't slow down... obviously there was a break failure somewhere... With the gear down, you can't really nose dive a plane...what he did was raise the landing gear. The front gear goes up faster than the rear gear, which causes it to dive into the dirt. Smart pilot... not stupid.

might want to change the title from "Lucky F16 Pilot Crashes Jet And Walks Away", to "Bad pilot, cant break and gently puts the nose into the dirt" there was no risk here. and he was totally at fault. this is why americans military is so shitty. they spend all the money on kit. and NOTHING on training. but thats why they are considered one of the worst trained militarys lol.

he wasnt taxiing, he just landed and he did land long and fast, but supposedly the brakes failed too, not sure why he didnt use the emer brakes but thats what they're saying. Happened in Oshkosh, WI at EAA airventure.
