A couple German kids hack into the highway system and change the electronic signs to display whatever they want. Sucks that I have no clue what their typing. Can anyone help translate.

It is dutch, and fake...: This guy also 'hacked' the trainstation speakers, letting the annoucer say the train to somewhere far away was leaving. He later said in a talkshow it was all fake, the cameraman is an IT student, majoring in video editing...

Clever video editing: It's not German but Dutch. And they are not actually hacking the signs but simply edited the video (they admitted this on national television). Nevertheless quite well done. Especially the trainstation version for which they had the actual voice operator to voice over the so called change.

clever fake IMHO: Clever use of motion tracking in video editing software will easily accomplish this. The matrix signs are not able to display varying intensities, they can only be switched on or off, but when the guy puts his pic up there you can clearly see halftones. So it has to be fake.
