This is one of the worst crashes I have ever seen. As the car hits the side wall it lifts just enough to grab the fence causing it to spin dozens of times done the track.

      @blackfangthis crash isn't huge: its a REALLY bad crash, a HUGE crash would take of alot of cars. Like nearly half of them (which has happened b4) and this isn't the worst damage a single car has suffered either. Pretty close though

    1999: Kenny Brck won the Indy 500 in 1999. He crasched at Texas motor speedway october 12 2003. He was trying to pass the SouthAfrican driver Tomas Scheckter. He did a comeback 2005 replacing Buddy Rice. LOL worthless facts :D

    He broke his ankles and back....: that's it. Those cars are much safer than you can imagine. BTW, F1s and Indy cars may look alike but there are several differences. F1s involve much more advanced and complex than either IRL cars or Champ cars. As for open-wheel drivers switching to NASCAR, it's really a personal choice. This year Juan Montoya will try his hand in NASCAR and Paul Tracy has talked about it for some time because he's won everything there is to win in open-wheel. Between races and off-seas

    this dude lost both his legs: im pretty sure, this was the crash. but these F1/IRL cars are insane, with their fancy technology and traction control, its easy to make one of the go fast, thats why theres barely any F1/irl drivers in nascar ranks, from weekly racing series to the cup series. panzies they are.
