Oh, wait... USA only has 28 golds and UK has 16. The USA spends far more on sports facilities than the UK. What's up with the math?

  @Finaljive36 Math. You don't get it. a) It's not about "coming up with" more people, it's about having lots of people to choose from. Ever wonder why the most populous countries *always* get the most medals? It used to be Russia vs. USA but now Russia's athletes are divided up between small countries so they're out of the running. Now it's China vs USA. Biggest populations, see? b) Who cares if they're paying for the games, what counts is how much money is spent in schools.

  @ I don't know how it's done in the UK, but the US doesn't pay for the athletes training, the families do. There is no excuse of why any country cant come up with 500 people. If it were 10,000 ppl difference then i would agree with you. Im sure you have ppl to chose from. I dont understand what your country is doing?.. That would mean that India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Brazil and the Congo should all be battling it out with the USA and China. Also, using your logic, south Korea, London, Italy and France should be rounding out the bottom 10. Which thier not. We all know that the Olympics occur every 4 years. Therefore there is absolutely NO reason why 1st world and even 2nd world
