This is a very well put together compilation of many different video clips of training videos of the Apache Gattling Gun. Unbelievable the amount of power this gun has.

what I think is the most amazing part of the video despite everyone bitching about the type of helicopter or what the weapon is.... From what i understand the Military loads their "tracer" rounds every 3 shots, so that means that when you see the big ass stream of red hitting the cars and whatnot just remember, only one out of 3 of those rounds are lighting up. Lets you know this thing is firing UBER fast no matter what gun it is

Nearly 40 years ago when I was stationed in Viet Nam, we used a similar weapon that was mounted on a medium sized converted cargo plane (C5), we named it 'Puff the magic dragon'. Do a search for 'Puff the magic dragon'. Rent the old John Wayne movie 'Green Barets' and you will get an idea what this 'Gunship' could do. Puff was something to see at night (like Star Trek Phasers) we said 'awwwmannn'! This gun was also mounted on F5 Phantoms just under the nose.

Hey SpQQky its NOT gattlin gun you turd maggot, its GATLING. invented by Dr. Richard J. Gatling. Is it that difficult to type it into google and see for yourself. Did you just make up Gattlin because it sounded cool? ANn you are completely wrong about the "the apache is the electric driven gatlin gun, not the helicopter". Are you really that ignorant or just being a troll. Either way you make me sick. Redneck76 is correct about the minigun and the apache btw.

Guess again SPQQKY.: SPQQKY said: der: You shouldn't try to be a know-it-all.....the apache is the electric driven gatlin gun, not the helicopter.....GATLIN gun, not gattling. who is the bigger idiot? the person that knows what he's talking about or the retard that is trying to be a know it all? The Apache that TheBas is talking about is the US Military's AH-64 Attack helicopter. Also, the Gun in the video is not a Gattlin gun... but a Mini-gun, used by the US Military on their support helicopters that

Who gives a shit about the helicopter?: You get somebody squeezing a few one second bursts off at you with one of this miniguns and you're toast. ALL 7.62mm too. Just one round will knock you on your ass, much less 6000 rounds. Can I get one off of Ebay?

Where is the Apache?: Not to be a no-it-all, but there are no Apache helis in this flick. The two helicopters that I recognize are the Bell UH-1 Huey, and the McDonnell Douglas OH-6 Cayuse. There is also a land vehicle which is probably a Hummer, no Apaches. www.rotorhead.org/military/mil is a good reference. You are right about it being a gattling gun though. It is a sic clip.

by far the top of the line in mounted weapons: 9to1 hit ratio over the top of the line GPMG which is fuckin killer , but the metal storm pistol will out class this puppy. a single metal storm pistol can get up to 16,000 RPM , now granted its bullets wont deliver the same punch as the M134 but still with two pistols you could out class this thing in RPM easily. the metal storm tankgun however out classes it without trying , with a blistoring 16,666 rounds per second it can cut down even the best military

Fucking writers: That's not an Apache Gattling gun. It was featured on Futureweapons, its the.. Dillon I think. It's nickname on the show was the Dilly Gattling Gun. The part of the vette getting lit up at close range was the gun being fired from a jeep, not a fucking apache

    • Monak

      Monak - 2 years ago

@FeuerFrei1205if im not mistaken: the part with the vette is the hover craft they tried to make on monster garage , for that matter it wouldnt even be a vette then it would be a delorean. and jesse james had the dillion mini mounted on an SUV.

FYI: Whoever labeled this video is pretty stupid. The gun in the video is a dillon aero M134 gatlin gun. The gun in the video fires the 7.62mm NATO round and fires at a fixed rate of 3,000 shots per minute. The video comes straight from Dillon's website(www.dillonaero.com).

here we go: i only got about 30 seconds of video , but the helicopter is a UH-1 iroquois. the gun because it is being fired manually leads me to believe it is a M134 minigun with a rate of fire upwards of 30,000 RPM(rounds per minute) , the only other gun i can think of would be a M61 vulcan with a rate of fire between 6,000-9,000 RPM. the most advance gun out there would be the metal storm weapons systems capable of 1,000,000 RPM in bullet mode and 250,000 RPM in grenade mode.

    • Monak

      Monak - 2 years ago

@Monakleft one thing out: the rounds in the video are 20mm not 60

M134 Mini Gun: This is from a CD That Dillion Aero put out a few years ago showing off what the M134 mini-gun would do. The Apache has a three barrel 30mm this is a six barrel 7.62
