There are actually two different views to this play at home. Incredible how this kid dodged the easy tag.

@nowhereman23You can't jump over the catcher? Well, you're just an idiot. Try again.

    • KaHetrick

      KaHetrick - 3 years ago

@nowhereman23Dude you are a moron. The baserunner can jump over the catcher. Hell he can run the catcher over and attempt to knock the ball out of the catchers grasp to make it safely. Take it from a catcher. you people are seriously stupid thinking you know everything.

@mcbluntWhen you have no actual skill...: You have to rely on circus stunts to score. Not a good sign.

catcher didnt field it cleanly so it didnt matter if superman jumped or not: restart the vid at look at the lone spectator. LOL! too bad nobody else got to witness it first hand.

he was out: even if he didn't run out of the base line ( which he did ), the catcher tagged him on the shin

    • LaneCo

      LaneCo - 3 years ago

@sudokcdumm you see all the dirt shaped in a circle around home plate?: thats in the baseline an any play at home there is no baseline when the catcher has th ball so, ur an idiot

    • KaHetrick

      KaHetrick - 3 years ago

@sudokcdAgain I need to correct your basebal knowledge. A base runner is allowed out of the base line if acceleration from running causes it. What the baseline rule is for is the guys who are on third and go for the plate and run all the way around the catcher. As for the shin... well you just don't know the umpire ruled safe and thats the ruling. Unlike in the NFL baseball doesn't have a challenge flag. Though it would be interesting.

He's out: You're not allowed to run outside of the baseline....he was way off. You're automatically out when you do so

    • Cyfre

      Cyfre - 3 years ago

@nodoubtgqthere's a buffer: zone when "rounding" bases.

    • BallAboveAll10

      BallAboveAll10 - 3 years ago

@nodoubtgqwow: if there was no buffer zone everyone that hits a home run would be out..think before you post

@nodoubtgqthat's only in little league: dumb ass

    • ExcaliburNiN

      ExcaliburNiN - 3 years ago

@nodoubtgqactually...: the runner makes his own base path, if he wants to run to the foul pole and back to get to 2nd he can, BUT he cannot leave the base path to avoid a tag.

  • christopheraschaeffer

    christopheraschaeffer - 3 years ago

He was tagged....: So is this the funniest not so funny home videos now?

  • HughGWrekshin

    HughGWrekshin - 3 years ago

either way: a nice play by the runner, even if he did get tagged it was enough to fool the ump and that's all you need sometimes

If you watch closely....: You will see he is actually out......The catcher hit his foot as he was doing his superman dive, you could even hear it when he hit his foot.....But, he was still called safe!!!

ACTUALLY......: Most Umpires would call that guy out due to safety issues.....It's an out due to the fact that CLEATS could potentinally FUC-K that catcher's face up.....That umpire is a moron...Correct ruling is an OUT. ....
