This pilot has a near miss but the other planes tow rope gets caught in his propellar causing him to fall straight to the ground.

After listening to this again I realized some of you guys are correct. He does say he used his "powa"chute. Meaning his parachute. Some planes like the Cirrus have one installedn by the manufacturer. It does not always mean you can't get killed. As time goes by and more pilots are forced to deploy this chute, we are learning you can still have fatalities and fatalities are occurring even with the chute.

This is the plane I first learned to fly in and they are relatively easy to fly compared to the Boeing 777 I fly now BUT....this kind of plane can be very unforgiving in certain situations and this one of them. Near misses are heart stopping enough, but to have a tow line from the other plane tangle with your prop is one of Dante's levels of hell. This pilot was very lucky and very skilled to have hit the ground at such a low speed.

@DocRobHe is one very lucky and talented pilot that kept his cool. Simple as that. You would be very surprised at how many of these small planes fall out of the sky EVERYday. They just don't make the news except if the people that die are famous.

I'm confused...: What's a parrot-chute? It sounds like that's what saved him. So, I'll go out and get a parrot-chute if someone will tell me WTF a parrot-chute is.

@Mykoits basically a parachute for the plane: it deploys it from the back of the plane for an emergency so the plane just glides down to safety at least i think

holy christ: good pilotage. he stayed calm and collected the whole time, he did have a parachute though. If i was in my cessna 172 i would have had to take a quick shit before i landed.
