    @RobBlevinsDeadly force was necessary because the person pulls out a gun and points it at the cops as he's walking away. This video only shows half of what happened, the person posting the vid chose not to include the video taken from a 2nd patrol vehicle. in that video, you can clearly see why deadly force was definitely justified

   This suspect actually fired at cops after exiting his vehicle. Dash Cam of other police car shows that the suspect fired at officers from within 10 feet after exiting his vehicle and is still holding his weapon while walking away. This suspect did not survive.

Integrated use of force, which most agencies have as a use of force policy, states that the amount of force necessary is the amount to stop the threat. If your a police officer and you have a gun put in your face you dont know if he is going to shoot you or not and they don't take that risk.   Half of the story: If you see the video from the other dash cam you would see that the suspect put a pistol in an officers face, and as he was walking into an occupied gas station he was turning to point the gun at the officers again. Now what would you do if you were in a situation that your mission was maintain public safety, armed gunman showing intent to kill begins walking into a business where he may be looking for a hostage?

Grab the Lethal Shotgun and hooker clothes with a wig, hide the shotgun in your bra, walk up to him with a bag of confiscated cocaine you got earlier, smile.   The other part shows: that he did shoot at the police, you can see the casing eject from his gun. Which then gives the police the right to shoot to kill. If someone was shooting at you, wouldn't you want something more effective then a taser.
