  this video is as old as the internet. There are plenty better videos of the same thing throughout youtube as well. This was a tractor pull in Europe.

  That would be called catastrophic engine failure. Ive never seen a vehicle of any kind run over it's own engine before. Kinda cool. That badboy was putting down some real torque till that happened though.

   you are all idiots! The engine split right in the middle, at the cam where the casting is the weakest. Then it throws the top of the block and head completely off. I should know, ive done it twice. Now you have to run 1/2 cables around the motor to keep it from throwing any big pieces into a crowd. You rice rocket drivers are idiots, this is what happens when you make real power!

  It exploded because he accelerated too fast? Is that Break's official/scientific observation? I guess it couldn't possibly be due to a faulty part or assembly oversight. Nahhhhh...

    @LarrabeeUh, no. He didn't "accelerate too hard" A The front wheels came off the ground because of the extreme power of the engine, along with the weight of the sled holding the tractor back. They pull better with the front wheels off the ground, as 100% of the weight of the tractor is transferred to the rear tires to provide the most traction. They use individual brakes for each rear tire to steer when the front wheels are off the ground. Clearly diktation, you are an idiot.

   Blower explosion, obviously. So vicious it knocked the motor clean out of the tractor. Amazing!!

    @saabdriverLikely not a blower explosion. More probable that a connecting rod broke and through the rotating assembly out of balance and at the high rpm's the engine was turning the extreme vibrations broke the motor mounts, causing the engine to call out of the frame.
