  Here's a thought: Microsoft came out with a compatibility test before Vista was even released so you could see if your machine would even run Vista in the first place. Test it before investment. Duh.

  why didnt he just go get a refund... microsoft is good like that: I use both a Mac and a PC in my home.. have had no problems with leopard... no problems with vista... and i know why.. BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT IM DOING. You geniuses only use your systems for porn.. and THATS why they don't take you far. Don't blame the OS because you're incompetent

    @A_Fwankwow: porn or viruses have nothing to do with the compatibility of an OS because u dont even boot ur OS wen u install a newer one. The reason it didnt work for him is because none of his drivers are compatible with vista. and also, vista sucks anyways. the only thing i like about it is directX10. and thats about the ONLY thing good about it.

  idiot: I got vista a month after it first came out and still have it on all my PCs. The first week or so I did have a litlte problem with one piece of hardware but once I got the vista drivers from the company of that hardware I was set. Now you must think I only do small work and work processing but your wrong. I run a single core AMD 2.7GHz processor with 2GB ram. I also do video and audio recording and editing work on this PC. I need a fast running machine and I have no problems at all with this s

  Yeah I agree!: Windows Vista really does suck big time I am an XPer for life. I bought a state of the art Windows media center and took it back and got half of the specs for the same price for an older core duo with half the hd space and the same amount of memory. Thats completly true with Vista I felt sorry for all the people buying the computers that came with Vista. Well thats it.

  yup: microsoft usually releases products to the public that arent ready for use, seriously take a look at the xbox 360. they lost billions cuz alot of people had to send em back due to the 'red ring of death' issue.

  What an idiot.: Seriously? You fucked up a procedure that only requires you to click OK every once in a while? I built my own machine and installed Vista on what XP told me was a corrupted hard drive. And then to top it off, you destroyed the disc. Real smart.

  i bet its frustrating but: on the laptop i got in the summer vista works beautifully and is by far the best OS ive used. 8 or 9 months with 0 problems. maybe its luck i dunno.
