i think: i'd rather stick with my Yamaha S12e's, Gem Sound XP-450, and Behringer Xenyx 802 that works fine. 400 watts of pure high quality sound. You ain't got shitt on me. Haha :P

ATTENTION! ALL STUPID FUCKS!: This video was not intended to show you how to make a stereo Ipod player, but it did get more attention that way. The reason this video was made was to show how to build an amplified speaker for cheap, meaning that you hook it up to your existing stereo. Most pple have shit Wal mart stereo systems. If you don't, good for you. I happen to not like only 120 watts per channel so my personal stereo system uses 4 of these amplifiers with a 600w psu. I have spent around $350 for all

OK, this isn't worth spending money to build: but it uses stuff that a lot of people have sitting around the house. I know I have at least 4 pairs of speakers in the basement at my mom's, and tons of old computers. The car amp, I don't know, but maybe my dad or brother saves those too. And it's only mono because he just connected one speaker, it looks like you could easily just connect another. What's more, he just uploaded a video that might help SOMEBODY, so why does everyone have a bug up the butt a

"you dont need a home stereo system anymore": so what did you just build? other than a monospeaker lameass pile of crap? go and buy an amp with a built in power supply/converter

  • RonDutch23

  • Murfur

Headphones...: ...are cheaper and you don't have to wire them up your self. He has assumed that we: a) have a single spare speaker (why only one? they come in pairs...), and ALSO a spare amp and a spare PSU and a bunch of spare electrical connectors. b) care

AC and DC currents: The pc power supply puts out an AC current and a car amp uses a DC current, so.... if you want to run the risk of breaking your amp or burning something down, go ahead and do this, if not, use a car battery instead of the power supply out of your moms computer.

    • WellFedAmerican

      WellFedAmerican - 3 years ago

@KEITHKIFE52Wrong answer dipsh!t: A PC power supply takes AC current and makes a DC output. Next time you might want to think about things before you go running your schlong holster, otherwise known as your mouth.

    • snorkel54

      snorkel54 - 3 years ago

@KEITHKIFE52AC and DC currents: thats negative, a pc power supply puts out DC current(+12VDC,+5VDC ETC), or else the electronics dont work(dont work with ac)

Lame....: all that says is how to hook up an amp... There is nothing special about this post. using a cheap power supply from a computer, an amp from wall mart, and grandpa's 1975 speaker, he illustrates how to hook up an amp subing out a car battery and head unit.
