The out of work old time train conductor distracted him with the lantern and he didn't even see the horse. He was probably thinking what the hell is a conductor doing out here? Then POW The modern train system got rid of the caboose and these old nuts have nowhere to go anymore. Someone should lock those conductors up they are a menace.
