Niklas Hagman of the Toronto Maple Leafs suffered his second concussion of the season after a malicious elbow by Brendan Witt. He has a lot of trouble even getting up off the ice after this cheap shot.

Because the players of today have no clue how to hit. Most hits we now see in the NHL have the players with their arms up, sticks up and they basically push the other over. A body check is kind of like how you;d hit a door you're trying to break open, you use your shoulder. The refs should call a number of penalties, high sticking would be the most obvious. Toronto Maple Leafs is my favorite team (Yeah, that’s right!). But I really don't think they should make the playoffs this year. It's been a poor season because they are rebuilding the team, and in my opinion, a rebuilding team shouldn't be fighting for the cup.
