This was near Tarmiya, IRaq in April of 2005. 6 Blackwater guys on that MI-8, along with two Fijian mercenaries and the three Bulgarian crewmwmbers. Everyone died in the crash but the pilot, who was shot by the people who shot him down. They videotaped that as well.

video was in Chechnya, not Afghanistan, it was during the war between the Chechen Guerillas and the Russians.... not recent late 80's early 90's if my memory serves me correctly...also pretty sure the pilots died the went spiraling down not "guided" in any way, hard to walk away from that.
