Not only did the tail rotor hit, it broke the tail rotor drive shaft when it did. Notice the tail rotor is not spinning at all while the main rotor is spinning down. Damn good save. As the survivor of 3 major mishaps in helicopters, I can tell you that they were damn lucky under the circumstances. I have no idea how he nailed that back on the deck. More luck than skill I promise you. Wow.

What a stupid pilot. Everyone with a bit knowledge about "flying" helicopters know how to setup a negative pitch (which pushes the helicopter down). Full power and -100% pitch and you can land on a wall or ceiling. However, very good recovery!

@Jufer4uk Yeah, right as the helicopter took off, the tail rotor hit the deck and bent it, which was what made the helicopter go into the spin. No counter rotation = a bad thing! Props to the pilot for setting it down okay.

@TheSaleBoat female pilot?: they pilot did a good job of making it not completly crash, it was because of the ship going up and down that it started
