This looks pretty cool. The FPS on the video camera are exactly in sync with the rotation of the blades so it appears that they are not moving.

If the camera was shooting at a FPS to match the blades, then the rear blade wouldn't appear to be moving either AND the audio would be distorted. The main rotor is not turning. You can tell because when the helicopter turns, you can see a shadow being cast on the body. If the blades were turning, then there would be no distinct shadow being cast by the blades. It's probably a detailed modle with a real helicopter off camera or maybe someone with video editing software has a helicopter sound file.

      debo0775 - 3 years ago

@DeviousDreamer...wow... The rear rotor spins at a different rate than the main rotor. The shadows are visable because that's what the film is capturing at that specific moment.

@DeviousDreamerIt also does not have to be the exact frame rate, but a multiple of the frame rate. It is the same concept as driving down the highway and the car next to your tires seem to not be moving at all, due to the fact that our eyes also have a frame rate.

    • sparhu

      sparhu - 2 years ago

@DeviousDreamerummmm... yeah, the rpm of the main rotor is slower than the rpm of the tail rotor. the tail rotor spins faster to displace more air to overcome the torque of the main rotor, so obviously the camera's fpm is not going to match up with both. and the shadow would be spinning the same, simply because is is an slanted exact copy of the blade's current possition. this is obviously not a fake, its simple science.

      WhiteCollegeKid - 2 years ago

@DeviousDreamerNo dumbass, I've seen this on the news a long time ago. The stabilizer on the back spins faster, and the shadow is also synced. You think just because something is spinning fast, it doesn't cast a shadow? Well when perfectly synced like this, you can see it. The audio would stay exactly the same, I don't know where your getting that bulls hit from. Anyways, next time you claim something is "fake" make sure you are actually knowledgeable, not pulling these facts out of your arse. Just because your post was l

@DeviousDreamerthe cam is in sync with top blades not on the back... so it dont matter if back blades goin quicker or slower if its not same as top it will be seen normall

the blades are spinning so fast the human eye cant see.: pretty sure its russian. russians make the best helicopters. check out the black shark if your interseted i think its way cooler than this one

    • AnotherDutch

      AnotherDutch - 3 years ago

@jakubplits a bit more complicated than that...: FPS means Frame per second. A camera shoots what is it, 25 frames per second? It looks like moving, but actually you see 25 frames right behind each other. If one of the chopperblades is exactly in one position every 1/25th of a second, you think it doesnt move when recorded..

@jakubplYou can get: cameras that do upto 20,000 fps so it would have no problem keeping in sync with the blades

@jakubplyes it is russian its called a Hinde (sp?) but your a retard b/c they dont and its not spinning that fast apache blades are faster and your a retard again b/c its b/c of the fps on the camera just like the desc says.

Anti-gravity with blades?: Huh? Anyone else find that completely pointless? Blades spinning propel air down at a greater force than that of the helicopter by gravity. Why in the hell would anything anti-gravity (probably 100% non-existent) have any traditional drive mechanism? Its fake---or at least no anti-gravity. It clearly responds to gravity anyway.

    • Original_Drewski_508

      Original_Drewski_508 - 3 years ago

@tacoma_kyleyou: do not read the description. is states that the camera is in perfect sync (FPS, Frames per second) as the blades turning which gives it a false image of not turning. Now why dont you go put on your magic shoes that ma'ma gave you and run back to your down syndrome class.

America has the best military: The shittiest schools and even shittier Medicare.... Oh and this is due to the frame rate of the camera and the period of rotation of the helicopter blades... The end.

    • JamieMadrox

@SmokeShow998You're: a dumbsh!t. Seriously. Read the fvcking caption. Yea our schools aren't the greatest, but I pay enough taxes that it shouldn't be. That's what you get for leaving it up to a Democratic Congress. Increased taxes with no results. And Medicare is not the government's problem.

Try this...: Look up at a ceiling fan next time you see one. Blink your eyes *really* fast. If you can keep your blinks in sync with the fans rotation period, the fan stops moving. (Appears to stop moving). Same thing thats happening with this vid (close enough to the same thing, that people who dont understand the math can experiment and figure it out)
