    1st, there is nothing wrong with kids playing football. proper technique though, MUST be taught. This video should never be glorified. Its horrible, and dangerous technique. You NEVER lead with your head, thats how you become a spectator in a chair for the rest of your life. I coach youth football at the youngest level, which is 6-8 years old. I have 8-10 boys who regularly hit twice as hard as that video, but use proper technique when doing it. This technique is insisted upon by all of our coaches,

    I agree with Hooty, poor coaching indeed if that was my kid I would have taken my kid off that team in a heart beat, my coaches growing up drilled that into us like it was the way of life.

    Its not a hard hit, it is helmet to helmet, if the coach did not correct this he does not deserve to coach.

      @hootyrat I agree, I can see how it could be entertaining, but everyone who has played or coaches knows about how dangerous that hit can be. Both kids look pretty hurt after that. My neck hurts just from watching that.

      @hootyrat very true...i am from central new york..i just finished highschool with playing football since my young years in pop warner...throughout my whole life, even in pop warner..it was a VERY important issue to NOT lead with your head for any contact with another player...so many great athletes have been paralized and even killed because of these incidents....horrible coaches right there..

    One word: STUPID. Thats what describes the adults who allowed this to happen. Do they not know a sport like football is known to cause concussions? This is one reason why playing sports like Basketball, tennis, baseball, or swimming is much safer especially for younger kids. They think they're tough for doing this but they come out looking like bad parents and overall morons.

      @ReFreshed1ReFreshed1.. so your saying that you cant get a concussion in baseball or basketball? baseball 2 outfielders running to catch the same ball. same hit, no helmet or pads, or geeting beaned at the plate. at a college basketball game 3 years ago a player went up for a rebound, was hit in the air, landed on his head....broken neck..... point is everything is dangerous to a point, if the kid wants to play football let him, you cant tell him "no" because he might get hurt.
